Eriko has come up with a plan to steal the sword, so she has George and Maruga meet up at the beach. Eriko tricks Maruga and her swimsuit melts when in the water. George spends his time looking for it while Eriko and Ryuji go for the sword. Rose refuses to join them. George is a great character, and damn Maruga was nice in a bikini.
Eriko and Ryuji arrive at the church to witness a man holding a kid hostage. He wants the sword and will destroy everyone with it. Eriko distracts him while Ryuji shoulder blocks him. This throws a wrench in the plans to take the sword. George thanked Ryuji for protecting the church. Something is up with that sword, as it seems to take over people near it.
Maruga explains that the dragon killed was her uncle, and it was her father who slayed him. Her uncle’s wrath is still in the sword. They try to think of another plan, and Rose just wants to talk to George. After arguing with Ryuji, Rose storms out upset. As this is happening, Kai tells George about Rose. Things are about to get really interesting.
They notice Rose has left the hotel, and immediately rush to the church. Rose has arrived and talks with George inside the church. He refuses to listen to her, but seems to be distraught at the same time. He is about to attack her when Ryuji shows up. I love seeing Rose standing up and trying to handle things properly.
Thus begins the fight between them and George. The wrath of the sword is helping George easily defend against any attack. Maruga eventually knocks him outside. Maruga’s uncle has fully taken over George. Ryuji and Rose team up, and eventually destroy the sword. George realizes his mistaken ways and says he will train harder. I was a bit disappointed nothing came of George and Maruga at the end.
I thought this was the best episode yet. We saw that Onyx is not fully out of the picture, and we had a great fight with George that had a nice conclusion at the end. I loved the final part with Rose becoming jealous of Maruga. I will bet on us seeing George and Maruga again before the series is over, and I look forward to when that happens.
