I am pleased to announce my brand new podcast, The Geek Effect. Joining me as my co-hosts are my friends Binh (Church4252) and Erick (Nightmare452). Unfortunately Binh is out of town and had some things come up that prevented him from debuting with the podcast, so good friend Donnie (GenDV138) is here to join us. We introduce ourselves, as well as what our new podcast will be about.
We break down our show in to several segments. They are Beer Run, What Are You Geeking On?, What These Geeks Are Watching, Geeks on Gaming, Weekly Discussion, New Releases, and when necessary a Brony Effect segment to discuss new episodes of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. We will also run down the important releases each week in gaming, video, and anime/manga.
Our first episode includes, but not limited to, discussion on Digital Comics, MAGFest, Saints Row the Third, Star Wars: The Old Republic, K-Pop, Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, Skyrim, Oddworld, Numb3rs, My Little Pony: Friendship is magic… and more.
The initial episode was recording with me in one channel, and Erick and Donnie in another. This will be remedied in future episodes. We look forward to improving as we push out each new episode, as well as bringing on a slew of great guests in the future.
So check out our very first episode of the Geek Effect, Currently available in the embedded player, direct download, and through iTunes. Rate and subscribe!

I finally got a chance to listen to your new podcast. It has a lot of good ideas. However, I think it can use a bit more editing. There is just too much dead air and too many ummms. Also, you might want to invest in a better microphone.
@digitalbug: yeah I plan on spending more time killing dead air on the next episodes editing. As for a microphone, I have a $100 headset that I’ve used on your podcast and OiR as well. Never heard complaints before.
@g-nitro I don’t know what it is, but your voice sounded unusually lo-fi. Maybe it’s your recording software rather than the mic. Also for some reason your voice is only on left channel and your co-host and guest is on the right channel.
@bug: yeah I noticed the separate channels after we had recorded. I gave a heads up on that in the post. That will be fixed next episode. I updated my recording program, and it switched to that as default. >_<
as for my voice, I’ll try a higher bit rate next episode. But I only have 200mb a month for episodes, so I have to keep each under 50mb.
Cool first episode. Whatever Erick was drinking sounded pretty good, lol.
