Maya and Ami are still at odds with each other, and finally Ami tells Maya to meet her at an old shrine. Before meeting Ami, Maya joins Uchida to look into the dead cows they saw last episode, as they were not part of the hoax. While investigating, they find a huge amount of dead cows, and finally Maya comes to the conclusion it is the Chupacabra. Nearly forgetting her meeting with Ami, she rushes over and before you know they are surrounded by Chupacabra. Ami is then abducted by a huge Chupacabra, and is taken away. Maya, Uchida, JK, Smile, Ami’s Dad and Kozue all go out in search for her. After battling the monsters outside an abandoned house, Maya finds Ami inside. They start fending off the little monsters, until the big guy shows up and Ami’s dad finishes him off. We are left seeing Chihiro and one of her underlings talking about keeping an eye on Maya and ridding of most of the bodies.
I loved the fact they covered Chupacabra in this episode, and they were actually fighting against them. Early on in the show, there was an inconsistency with Maya’s face at one point, but I didn’t see it again. I also am confused on how Ami was bitten by the large Chupacabra, but she showed no signs of injury at all. Wish they had touched upon that.
This episode we see Miyafuji beginning to have trouble flying, which first occurs during a training mission. After a physical and a check on the Striker Unit, she is grounded. She gets the go ahead to assist in healing wounded soldiers on the Yamato ship which had an accident. While her and Lynette are attending to the wounded, a Neuroi attacks the fleet. Lynette is left going in alone as Miyafuji can’t take off. Lynette provides shielding allowing the fleet to escape, but Miyafuji thinks she can no longer fly. But suddenly she hears the voice of her father, and a new striker unit appears. She immediately takes flight in the unit, just in time to save Lynette and defeat the Neuroi. We learn at the end that her magic grew too powerful for her old unit.
This is what Strike Witches is about, not that silly fan-service crap fest that happened last week. This was the perfect balance of emotions, action, and the typical fan-service we became accustomed to in season 1.
We are greeted with Yui trying new hairstyles in the mirror as the show opens. She wants her upcoming graduation photo to be perfect. We then see Azusa with her hair down as she forgot her ties. Ui helps her, but all of a sudden we see Yui instead hugging her, but come to find out it is actually Ui doing her hair just like her sister. After class, Azusa makes a beeline for the music room thinking no one will be there, only to find all the girls and Sawako. They all rag on her for being worried. The group discuss briefly plans for college, and then start trying out different looks for the graduation photos. Yui not happy with the length of her bangs decides to cut them, and manages to sneeze and cut off too much. This causes her to panic, but the girls manage to calm her down. Finally the photos are taken, and they all come out looking good. The show ends with all the girls deciding to attend the same all girls college that Mugi is trying to get in to.
Most of this episode was spent on hair styles and talks of graduation photos, which was cute and funny, but the best part was finally getting to see Ritsu and Yui decide on what they will do after high school. This episode was fun to watch, and I found myself bursting with laughter at times. I was worried if this episode would falter after the excellent show from last week, but it managed to be very enjoyable.

Where the hell is High School of the Dead in both of these! HMMMMM!!!
