The holidays are over for Scott and I. We kick off the New Year with just the two of us, and go over some of the things we’ve been doing over the past couple weeks. We’ve had adventures in various video game worlds, dealing with illnesses, and irked by how some game of the year lists are compiled.

In news this week, we see the beginning of Winter 2012 licenses by CrunchyRoll, Sentai Filmworks picking up three licenses, NISA picking up two licenses, Live action Akira being reported as shut down, and Phantom Break for XBOX 360 to see US Release.

For our discussion this week, we go over the obvious topic of Bandai’s closing. We discuss the warning signs, what it means for the industry, and the interview with Ken Iyadomi.
