    Samurai Girls (Episode 9):

Yoshihiko is on a flight to return. Gisen finds Mune outside sweeping. Jubei asks Sen and Sanada if they know where Mune is, but Gisen has locked them in together. She discusses making a pact with him, and hands him a book on sex. Mune explains he wants to know and understand people before they make a pact. Gisen reveals her right eye and Sen arrives too late. Suddenly Gisen tells Mune to hit Jubei, and he does. Naoe is suddenly knocked out by a soldier. Gisen reveals her general is bigger than Yoshihiko, and transforms. Jubei begs for her to stop, and Gisen tells Mune to cancel the pact with Jubei. Mune and Jubei begin to break the control, but Gisen puts him down. A battle begins between Sen and Gisen, but Sen is quickly overpowered. Suddenly Yoshihiko arrives, and Nia attacks. Nia easily takes care of Gisen, who flees. That evening Hanzo, Naoe, Sanada, and Matabei are taken prisoner. Sen and Yoshihiko are discussing if he is behind the spirited away incidents and he reveals the students kidnapped. Nia talks to the others about the project. Yoshihiko reveals the shadow as Shiro Amakusa. Both of them say there are no master samurai left.  Yoshihiko plans to use Mune and Jubei to create Master Samurai.

Wow, I wasn’t expecting that outcome at all. I knew Gisen was trouble, but I genuinely thought Yoshihiko was the main evil, when he is just more of a major problem. The action in this episode was the best yet, and I am interested in how the story is playing out in a new direction.

    Panty and Stocking (Episode 9):

Part 1 – If the Angels Wore Swimsuits

It is the middle of summer in Daten City. The girls have hit the beach. Brief shows up and tells the girls they are supposed to be helping out. Suddenly the demon twins arrive and claim the beach is their property. To resolve the issue, they end up playing beach volleyball. Both teams end up being pretty evenly matched, but Panty and Stocking win the first set. Suddenly the demons begin cheating, Panty shoots the ball down. The demon girls get serious, and set a rule of the losers stripping naked. The final point and Panty delivers the loss to the twins. Instead of stripping, they unleash a bunch of ghosts from the sea on the beach with interesting situations.

Part 2 – Ghost: The Phantom of Daten City

Panty and Stocking are looking at guys to score with. Stocking is very picky when she suddenly sees a ghost and is in love. The ghost is a disgusting pig and a loser. She sets up a date, and makes a lunch for them .She shows up and meets him at the park. He treats her like shit, and she is loving it. We see them on many dates. Panty is trying to get through to Stocking about the ghost. Panty informs the ghost that she is an Angel. He misunderstands her, but she asks him to elope. Stocking leaves the mansion. The ghost arrives late for the meeting, and is greeted by Panty in disguise. She is about to shoot him when Stocking arrives. He pulls out a ring and proposes, and she says yes. Suddenly the ghost is lifted up to heaven.

The first part started off as a typical beach episode one would expect for this show, but when the ghosts showed up I was laughing way too hard. I also loved the Engrish special moves. The second part was disgusting and disturbing, and some how had some genuinely sweet parts. Overall a solid, but not outstanding episode.

    MM! (Episode 9):

The Sakuramori Festival is here, and the club’s booth has no traffic. Suddenly the convenience store manager shows up about someone being missing, but it is his body pillow. The chairman shows up with the pillow, and tells Tarou she wants to talk to the club. A hooded figure is looking over the festival, when Tarou shows a threatening letter to Mio. They end up at a crepe stand, and Tarou treats her. Yuuno is out searching for Tarou. They show up to the neko cafe, and we find out Mio is scared of cats. The beauty pageant begins, Tarou and Mio head to check it out. Somehow his mom and sister managed to sneak into it. Mio and Tarou show up for Nao’s haunted house. Tarou is completely scared, but Mio is fine until a monster cat shows up. Tarou consoles Mio, but falls into a trap door. He is tied up, and is greeted by the Chairman, Kirino, and her comrades. We find out they are the Mio Fan Club, and they ask if him and Mio are dating. He says no and she pulls out a whip, but Mio shows up. They introduce themselves as the Mio-sama Fan Club, and she is taken aback. They apologize to her, and she gives them a speech. At the end of the festival, Mio thanks him and holds his hand, but Yuuno catches them.

This was a rather normal episode for MM! considering the more recent ones. Tarou and Mio look good together through out the episode, and it makes me ponder whether I would like to see him with Yuuno or Mio more. I also want to say Mio is a better Tsundere than Kirino (Oreimo).

    Oreimo (Episode 9):

Kyousuke arrives home to a disappointed Kirino. Kyousuke ponders over Kirino’s mood, when the doorbell rings with Kirino’s new eroge. Once installed, Kirino gets to playing. Kuroneko is home and making lunch for her and her little sister. Kyousuke is in his room listening to music. Kirino is interrupted by work calling her, so she turns off her phone. The main character, Rinko, is very much like Kirino, and she is upset by the way she acts. Kuroneko ends up watching Meruru with her little sister. Kirino gets all giddy when the other sister, Miyabi, says I love you. We see a rich girl getting some maid outfits delivered, and we find out it is Saori.Kyousuke calls Kuroneko, and they talk for a bit. The talk ends when Kirino screams over the game. Kirino goes to take a shower before an eroge scene and runs into Kyousuke. She drops her panties and she slaps him for telling her. Kyousuke is bothered by having to listen to Kirino while she plays. Kyousuke tells her to shut, and they begin arguing. Kuroneko is on the phone role-playing. Rinko’s route ends and Kirino is saddened by the outcome. Kuroneko is chatting to people, and her sister sees the image of her, Kirino, and Saori. Kuroneko tells her they are her friends.

This was a much better episode than last week. Kirino was a bit over the top at times, but I really enjoyed Kuroneko’s scenes at home with her little sister. It was also nice to see both of them and Saori had a picture of them together. Saori actually being rich and quite beautiful was an interesting bit of info to find out.
