Touma and Index are in his dorm room, and they are discussing weather reports. Misaka and Kuroko are out shopping, and Kuroko gets a call from Uihara. Kuroko heads to Judgment and is filled in on a strange situation. Kuroko arrives where the culprits are, and manages to capture them and the suitcase they stole. After talking to Misaka, Kuroko has the suitcase stolen and is attacked by someone else with teleportation powers. The girl mentions Misaka, and then talks about the Tree Diagram being destroyed. We see little MISAKA with Accelerator, and Yomikawa. Kuroko is back and dressing her wounds, while Uihara informs her about Awaki, who was her attacker. Misaka arrives home, and they converse a little before Misaka heads back out. Kuroko heads out and tries to track Awaki’s escape route. She arrives to an explosion, and we find Misaka fighting a group of thugs. When she is about to blast Awaki, she teleports people in front of her. She uses them to escape. We then see Kuroko prepping for battle, and one of the MISAKA’s getting out of bed.
Finally we get some Misaka action back in Index. This almost felt more like a Railgun episode, which is definitely not a bad thing. The new enemy seems to be interesting and I look forward to Kuroko and her fighting next episode.
Haruna is putting up fliers for School Image month, and Kohei offers to help her. Later Kohei realizes Kanade is spying on him as he reads old letters. Haruna comes and picks her up, but she manages to escape. Kanade keeps trying to push Haruna and Kohei together. The student council announces the new school image uniforms, which are maid outfits. Kanade tries to get them to take a picture together, but Haruna gets upset at her and runs off. Kohei talks to Kanade at lunch, and Haruna walks away when see her. Kanade explains what happened with Haruna and how she lost her memories from an accident. Kanade still holds herself to blame. Kohei goes out with Haruna and they discuss the situation. She says she doesn’t want Kanade to prioritize her. Haruna believes Kanade likes him. Kohei takes Haruna to tell Kanade how she feels. We find out both of them resented each other when they were young, and they both want the other to be happy. After they make up, Kohei has Kanade read a letter Haruna sent him after the accident.
This was an extremely sweet episode. I would never have guessed that Haruna and Kanade both were trying to make the other happy, due to how they resented eachother as kids. Oh, and all those maid outfits were so cute.
Hotori enters an antique store, and Hotori is surprised by the owner, Shizuka. She is buying a present for Toshiko, when Shizuka gives her a gift from Africa. It is a creepy mask, and it is forced on her. They are holding a party for Toshiko at the cafe. Hotori gives her the gift she bought, which is a locked box. While asking when everyone’s birthdays are, Hotori finds out that Kon’s birthday is also today. This ruins the mood, and she tries to cheer her up. Later Kon opens the box, and they find charms inside. Toshiko ends up returning the mask to Shizuka. In school, Hotori and Toshiko are using a project to create a web page for their site. Hotori goes to Sanada’s to work on their school project, and Toshiko comes along. Sanada begins to cleanup, and even decides to delete all the porn on his PC. Once Hotori finds out he doesn’t have a scanner, she is ready to leave. He is distraught about deleting all the files, but Hotori sees the stack of books on his bookcase. She grabs a book, and down falls all the adult magazines. They head to Kon’s place to see how she is feeling. They find her very sick in bed, and take care of her. Suddenly everyone else is sick except Hotori, and she remembers saying, “Idiots can’t catch colds.”
Another funny episode thanks to Hotori’s zany antics as always. The part with Sanada’s porn stash was particularly funny. I liked that Kon had more screen time this episode.
Part 1 – Up for an inkredible Hero Stage Show?
Squid Girl and Takeru are watching a Super Hero Stage Show. When the hero, Noh Masked Rider, appears, Squid Girl laughs at her. The enemy is a Squid Demon, so Squid Girl cheers for it. Eventually everyone cheers for it as well. The actors try to figure something out, and Squid Girl steals the suit. When she tries to attack No Masked Rider, she is stopped by a new masked hero (sounds and looks like Chizuru). The hero ties her up with her own tentacles and Noh Masked Rider finishes her off.
Part 2 – Squidn’t you be studying right now?
Eiko is struggling with homework, and Squid Girl seems to have no problem solving the math problems. Eiko is shocked, and everyone else is impressed. Eiko is freaking out over this. She asks Squid Girl for her help, and Squid Girl accepts if she obeys her. Squid Girl plans on showing off her genius to other humans to make them obey, but no one seems to really care. Eiko consoles her, and Squid Girl apologizes. She gives her the secret to solving the problems, but Eiko can’t read it and gets upset.
Part 3 – Is this inkfatuation or love?
Nagisa is out surfing when she gets caught in a huge wave. Goro ends up saving her. Squid Girl makes Nagisa believe it was her that did it. Eiko stops her and copies the way she speaks. Goro arrives to the cafe, and Nagisa thanks him again. Squid Girl thinks Goro is trying to out her as friendly, and she claims Nagisa is her prey. Eiko says she is jealous and she gets upset. Eiko also realizes Nagisa likes Goro. Goro says Squid Girl is a good person, and Nagisa believes he is brainwashed as well. Nagisa declares she will protect Goro.
The first part was okay, and had some good laughs early. The second part was hilarious with Eiko’s reactions. I love how Squid Girl tried to prove herself as a genius. The third part was the best. I love when Squid Girl tries to mess with Nagisa’s head, and this is her best attempt at it yet.

I think I like Episode 5 of Squidgirl the best, but Episode 6 was still pretty good. The first part was just ridiculous lol. I love the way Squidgirl acts when she gets ahold of the suit, haha.
Episode 6 of Index was awesome for this fanboy. Seeing some of the side characters like Accelerator and Last Order together acting like siblings was a bit of a tease that we may revisit that story arc again.
Of course, my favorite of the series, Kuroko is having her own battles to fight in the battlefields of science and love. Poor girl never gets a break, remember the Railgun EX episode
As for squid girl, the punchline on episode three was priceless.
