Otome Yokai Zakuro (Episode 5):

All the girls must wear formal dresses to a party they are going to for the mission. They arrive at the party to stares and mumbling. They are there to look for a possible Black Widow spirit. As Zakuro dances with Lt Hanadate, the twins place petals onto each woman at the party to keep track of them. Zakuro is teased by a couple soldiers. They try to touch her ears and Kei arrives to help her. Zakuro clutches his chest and begins to cry, so he holds her tight. Bonbori suddenly gets a feeling, and Hoozuki sends petals to Zakuro and Hotaru summoning them. Suddenly Hotaru and Riken are attacked by a cloaked woman. Riken is able to wound her, and Hotaru grabs her and senses deep sorrow. Zakuro and Kei are attacked by the other cloaked women. Ganryu and the twins arrive at a room, but one of them is burned from a petal being destroyed. They want to use another, but Ganryu refuses. They enter the room and a huge spiderweb is in the room, trapped with decaying bodies of soldiers. The Black Widow shows up and we find out she is against the New Calendar. She transforms into a large spider, and the twins tell him to stand back.  The girls begin fighting the spider. Bonbori is knocked down by the spider, and Hoozuki refuses to let Ganryu help. Zakuro flies in and kills the spider. Ganryu runs off, but the Black Widow is still not dead and says the name of her mother and that she will soon learn the truth.

Wow, this was a great episode, as the focus was on the always cute twins, Bonbori and Hoozuki. The animation was excellent, and the story was much darker. I loved how Kei stepped in and him and Zakuro shared a tender moment. It’s gonna be interesting to see how Zakuro handles what she was told at the end of the episode.

Amagami SS (Episode 18):

Everyone is out skating, but Rihoko is holding on to the wall. Kanae sets up Junichi to help Rihoko out. She tries to skate on her own, due to being shy about it, and loses control. As she falls back and Junichi is able to grab her, but has a hold of her chest. The next day Rihoko is asking for a Founder’s Festival application for the tea club. Junichi is grabbing a meat bun and realizing Rihoko’s breasts are bigger. Junichi then helps Manaka and Ruriko of the tea club carry a kotatsu table. He is offered tea as a thanks,and is told that Rihoko talks about him a lot. Rihoko shows up and Junichi is asked to help out at the founder’s festival.  Later the Manaka and Ruriko are pushing Rihoko to recruit new members at this year’s festival, even Junichi. Junichi arrives at the Founder’s festival and heads to help the tea club. He carries sweet sake to their area, and as they are asking him to join, Rihoko arrives in her kimono. Junichi and Rihoko hand out fliers together, and Rihoko asks him to join the club as well. They end up seeing the opening ceremony together.  After the festival, Junichi and Rihoko are relaxing on a bench talking. She gives him his present, which are gloves she made for him. He has nothing to give in return, so he asks what she wants. Later she asks Kanae for advice on what she should ask for.

Rihoko continues to prove herself as a great love interest. She is absolutely adorable when she is all shy and clumsy. This episode in particular was very good, as Rihoko is gaining more confidence in herself. I loved the beginning part with the ice skating, especially when she did the splits.

Motto To Love-Ru (Episode 5):

Part 1 – Queen of Love!?

Saki is constantly thinking about Zastin. Next we see Lala looking for Rito and carrying a bento with weird stuff flowing out. While hiding, Rito is captured by Rin and Aya. They want him to bring Zastin to school so Saki can confess. He gets Zastin to come to school, and Rin thanks him.  Zastin arrives and Saki approaches him. As Rito watches, Lala finds him and feeds him food from her bento. He runs out screaming and interrupts Saki, and she falls over, flashing her panties at Zastin.

Part 2 – Oh! Let’s Play

Next we see Run who has brought an alien skunk with her to turn Lala into a child. She ends up getting hit herself, and finds Rito and Lala as her youthful self. The skunk has managed to escape and Lala chases it, but gets hit by the skunk also. Haruna and Yui find it in the school halls, and Yui gets changed. Now the whole school is getting transformed bit by bit, even Yami. Run manages to capture the skunk and Lala saves her from falling.

Part 3 – The Flavor of Chocolate is a Sweet Sensation

Now it is Valentines Day and the girls are discussing giving chocolates out. Yui gets embarrassed and storms out. Yui overhears Rito and Kenichi talking about getting chocolates. Yui is home and attempting to make chocolates, when her brother walks in and suggest she is making them for Rito. She gets upset and pushes him out of the kitchen. The next day at school, Yui stops Rito in the hall, and struggles to give him the chocolate. Run tries to give him chocolate, but as he runs away he lands in Yui’s crotch. Yui sees Lala and Haruna giving him chocolates. Yui stops him one last time, and gives him the chocolate. He thanks her and is really happy.

I finally realized that every episode now is broken down into the 3 different parts. So I will cover it similar to Squid Girl. This was another fun episode overall. The first part was kind of throw away, but the 2nd part with everyone being turned into kids was adorable. They all looked so cute. I also really enjoyed the final part with Yui making chocolates for Rito.

The World God Only Knows (Episode 5):

We open to a concert scene and a girl named Kanon greet the cheering crowd. Keima and his mom are eating while Elci is watching Kanon win on an award show. Keima dismisses her as part of a previous generation, and that only game idols matter now. At school everyone is all excited because Kanon is coming to the school. Keima is playing his PFP outside, as Kanon walks by and is talking to herself about the award. She sees Keima and tries to talk to him. He asks who she is, and she is shocked. All of a sudden she pulls out a stun gun and zaps him. Elci runs up to talk to Keima, but ignores him when she sees Kanon. She signs his PFP for Elci. Keima says he has no interest in worthless real idols, and gets zapped again. Elci realizes Kanon is their next target. We get a montage of Kanon singing, training and doing various other activities of an idol. Keima finds a note left for him to meet on the roof again. She declares she will defeat him. She is suddenly in her stage outfit and on a small stage singing for Keima. Keima is completely ignoring her and playing his PFP. When Elci asks why he ignored her, and he explains if a girl chases him, it is only a trap. The next day Kanon is singing for him again. Keima is trying to decide what he is going to do next, but is faking like he is asleep when she finishes. She believes she is no good, and suddenly disappears.

This was such a fun episode. I laughed a lot, but I also really enjoyed the music that Kanon was singing. I definitely want those songs when they are available to purchase. I am glad she is also having more than one episode like Mio, becuase she is a very strong character.
